Our season finished up at a very nice course this year. Tuesday was the girls first round. The girls had nice weather for their first round. Lindsay M. 103, Ally T. withdrew herself from competition for personal reasons, Kristina K. shot a 135, Emily G. shot a 104, and Katie M. shot a 124. Lindsay, Emily, and Katie all made the cut to the second round.
Wednesday was the Boys first round of sections and even though the weather was far from perfect, there were still some good scores coming in from many teams. Justin G. shot a 91, Alex W. shot a 89, Josh D shot a 102, and Griffin F. shot a 126. Alex was able to make the cut to advance to the second round. Thursday was another day of nice weather. Our golfers played well, but none were able to advance past the second day to state.

The boys' golf team will share the conference title this year with Rush City. We had a very strong year. Alex W. and Justin G. both were named All-Conference players this year, while Ryan G. was named the conference MVP. I am very proud of all of our boys and had how hard they have work to get where we are. With only one senior on the boys' team this year, I am excited to for these boys to have another shot at the conference title next year. Now we are focused on the subsection meet that we have coming up, and trying to make our season last as long as we can.
The girls' golf team ended up second in the conference this year behind Moose Lake/Willow River. We had a very strong year and only missed first place by 1 points. We had 2 girls who were named All-conference. They were Lindsay M., and Ally T. I am very proud of all of our girls and had how hard they have work to get where we are. We are losing 2 seniors on the girls' team and will be tough to replace, but we have some good young golfers who will need to step up and fill those places for us next year. But for now, we are putting all our focus on the subsection meet that we have coming up, and trying to make our season last as long as we can. Another great day for golf.
The boys ended up with a team score of 359. Ryan G. shot the low score for the team with a 77, Justin G. shot 91, Alex W. shot a 91, Josh D. shot a 101, Justin S. shot a 125, and Griffin F. shot a 100. The girls had a team score of 425. The team low score was shot by Lindsay M. with a 97. Kristina K. shot a 120, Ally T. shot a 103, and Emily G. shot a 108, and Katie M. shot a 117. It was a Beautiful day for golf. Here is how it ended up.
The boys ended up with a team score of 360. Ryan G. shot the low score for the team with a 76, Justin G. shot 91, Alex W. shot a 86, Josh D. shot a 107, and Justin S. shot a 114. The girls had a team score of 423. The team low score was shot by Ally T. with a 98. Kristina K. shot a 115, Lindsay M. shot a 103, and Emily G. shot a 107, and Katie M. shot a 116. We had a cool rainy day in Isle, but we were glad to be able to golf.
The boys ended up with a team score of 361. Ryan G. shot the low score for the team with an 82, Justin G. shot 94, Alex W. shot a 90, Josh D. shot a 95, Justin S. shot a 118, and Devin R. shot a 130. The scores that our golfers turned in reflected well on what we as coaches have seen at practice day after day, and that is that our younger golfers have been showing great improvement throughout the season. We have three more JV/JH meets this year and are excited to see how much more we can improve in that time.
Another great weather day at an amazing course. Ryan G. shot the team low of 80. Justin G. shot a 89, Alex W. shot a 103, Justin S. shot a 121, Josh D. shot a 98, and Devin R. shot a 147. We ended with a team score of 380.
We lucked out and had some nice weather for our first conference meet in Hinckley at Grand National.
The boys ended up with a team score of 356. Ryan G. shot the low score for the team with a 79, Justin G. shot 94, Alex W. shot a 87, Josh D. shot a 96, Justin S. shot a 121, and Devin R. shot a 141. The boys and girls JV and JH had their first meet at Hinckley. We had the 26 golfers participating in the event which is a great sign for the future of our program. Our golfers turned in scorecards with good numbers and signs of improvement already with only a few weeks of the season under our belts, and this being the first time on the course for them this year, and for some the first time in their lives.
We were glad that we were able to get out on the course for this meet. The weather this spring has not been spring sport friendly. The 6-6-6 meet at Milaca was our girls first time on a course this year, so we took it as a great opportunity to get on the course and prepare for our conference meets.
